2.1.1. Create page

The creation of a new page will be explained below. 

1. Press "Create page" in the bottom of the Tree.

  1. Subsequently, a new window will appear, in which the fields of relevance must be completed. The fields are explained below. 


Page type
  • Text: This is an ordinary textpage, which can be used for different content e.g. text, images, video etc. This page type is very popular, as it provides almost unlimited possibilities. 
  • News: This page type is used for delivering news. The news page allows you to create and release news on your web solution with a minimum of effort. Once a news is created, it will automatically appear on the website. 
  • Media archive: The media archive is reserved for images. It allows you to add all the images you need, whereafter HostedShop show them all on your web solution, in a fine image gallery. 
  • Contact: This is a standard contact page, which allows the visitor to contect your company. The form will be sent to you in the form of an e-mail, as soon as the visitor presses "Send". 
  • Blog: If you have a lot of interesting knowledge that you would like to share, you can use a Blog page. Thereby, it will be both easy and fast to create new blog entries, and the visitors will have easy access to the knowledge you have shared.

User rights
  • Visible to all: A page created with this setting, will be accesible to all visitors. 
  • Visible to [USERGROUP]: This allows you to decide if the page is accessible to all visitors or specific usergroupd. If you want to make the page accessible to more usergroups, this can be done subsequently. 
  • Hidden to all: The content of a page created with this setting is accisble to no visitor. 

Menu display:
  • Visible to all: A page created with this setting, will be visible to all users in the menu. 
  • Visible to [USERGROUP]: This allows you to decide if the page is visible to all visitors or specific usergroupd. If you want to make the page accessible to more usergroups, this can be done subsequently.
  • Hidden to all: The content of a page created with this setting is accisble to no visitor. 
 
Title
  • Here you enter the title of the page. The title will be shown in the menu. Be aware that this is also the title that is seen by the search engines. 
 
Heading
  • Here you enter the heading of the page. This will be shown in the top of the page, so that you don't have to write a heading to the content.
