3.9.1. Design

The first time you open a new Form page it will open i a blank Design area. Here you can either choose a template or design a form from scratch. You find the different templates in the dark area at the top. There will be templates built into the system, as well as the possibility of saving a template yourself. By clicking on a template it will be fetched and your form will be designet with this as a starting point.

On the other hand, if you wish to start from scratch, all you need to do is click "Hide templates" and thereafter start designing your form. For this you use the elements in the left side, which can be dragged onto the design area. You can for instance drag a "Fixed text" onto the design area where a box will open. Here you can enter a text which describes your form. Click save to save the element. Afterwards you can drag user input boxes in, for instance a drop down where the customer can select different options.

If you wish to sort the different elements in the design area you merely need to hold the mouse over the element upon which the mouse pointer changes to a move icon. Then you need to drag the element with the mouse so it is moved above or below the other elements.

When you wish to edit or delete an element you should only hold the mouse over the element in the design area and two icons will appear in the right side. By clicking edit the box will appear again and you can edit the element. By clicking delete the element will be removed from the design area.

All changes made in the Design area will be saved immediately. For this reason it is not necessary to click save. You have however the option of clicking Save as template, which saves your form as a new template. The templates you save can be used across pages. At the top you can always delete your own templates, but not the ones that are standard in the system.
