4.4.1. Create additional type

To create an additional type you only need to fill in the fields that appear on the screen when you click on “Create new additional type”.

Example – Create additional type

In the following example we go through an example of how to create an additional type. As our example we use “Print on back”. With this additional type we want to give the customer the possibility of getting a print on the back of their T-shirt.

1. Create additional type
To create an additional type you need to select “Additional types” under the “Web shop” fan. A list will now appear with the additional types you have created. Click on “Create new additional type”.

2. Type*
In the field “Type” you need to enter how your customer selects or deselects the additional type. We choose the type “Dropdown”, because we want to give the customer the option of two types of print on the back (big or small print).

3. Title*
In the field “Title” you should enter the name of your additional type. The title is the name that your customer will see on your web shop when he looks at a product. We enter “Print on back”.

4. Help text
You can optionally enter a help text for your additional type. Here we enter “Extra print (backside)”.

5. Done
We have now entered all the required data, i.e. all the fields marked with *. To create the additional type we click on “Create”.

6. Create data for the additional type
We have now created an additional type. The next step is to attach data to the additional type. You can do this by clicking on “Additional types”.  You will now see a list of all the additional types created for the web shop. Du should click on the icon that looks like a shopping cart with a little green plus sign next to the relevant additional type.

7. Title*
To create data for an additional type you only need to fill in the field “Title”, where you enter the name of your additional data. We enter “Big print”, which is the type of extra print that the customer should be able to select.
You are free to repeat this step as many times as needed. We repeat it one more time to create “Small print”.

8. Sorting
If you click on “Additional types” you can see that there is created data for the additional type “Print on back”. The next step we have to go through is to enter “Sorting”.
In the column “Sorting and Data” you can see a text box next to each additional data (Big print and Small print).

You should enter 1 in the text box next to the type of print you want to be the first option. Because we want “Big print” to be the first option we enter 1 in the text box next to “Big print”. The next option should be “Small print” so we enter 2 in the text box next to “Small print”. The final order is therefore:

1 Big print
2 Small print

When you have entered the correct sorting you click on “Save sorting”.

9. Done
You are now completely finished! We have created an additional type (Print on back) with appropriate data (Big print and small print). Finally we have selected the order in which the data should be shown.
